Thank you for your interest in partnering with The Junior League of Atlanta (JLA) for League year beginning in August 2023.
A nonprofit community agency that reflects JLA’s mission, vision, and values and renders service within metropolitan Atlanta is eligible to partner with JLA.
JLA Mission: The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. (JLA) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
JLA Vision: To be a catalyst for community change by empowering women who are passionately focused on the health, education, and welfare of women and children.
JLA supports Community Partners through the following activities:
- Community Sampler/Done in a Day: One-day hands-on service opportunities throughout the year
- Board Bank: Trains members for successful board service and matches them to community agencies seeking board members.
- Journey to Literacy: new book donations and book-related activities at partner sites.
- Handmade by JLA: Creates hand-crafted items to provide as in-kind donations to partners.
- Community Drives: Opportunities for in-kind donations through JLA events
Approved community partners in good standing are automatically renewed annually. Once you are approved as a partner, there is no need to reapply.
Step #1: Applicants must complete an online profile before submitting a partnership application.
Partner Criteria:
- Applicant must maintain tax-exempt nonprofit status as approved by the Internal Revenue Service.
- Applications must be submitted on the JLA electronic form provided and submitted with all required documents by the deadline.
- In general, JLA does not support:
- Programs outside JLA’s mission, policies, and/or strategic plan.
- Fundraising events or direct solicitations for other entities
- Political organizations whose mission includes the election of specific candidates and/or support of specific political parties are not eligible to become a partner of the JLA.
- Religious organizations that require participation in religious activity as a condition for receiving services
